About the Bizarre
The NoDa Bizarre is a celebration of art, creativity, and community in the heart of Charlotte’s historic arts district. Hosted by the NoDa Neighborhood & Business Association, this biannual event takes place on the lawn of the Johnston YMCA, lovingly known as the “front porch of NoDa”, and turns it into a vibrant hub of local talent, featuring artists, makers, musicians, culinary creators, and performers of all kinds.
Launched in August 2024, NoDa Bizarre is a reinvigoration and reimagined version of the neighborhood’s beloved All Arts Market and Gallery Crawls of the 2000s. Building on those traditions of showcasing local artists and activating community spaces, the Bizarre quickly became a neighborhood favorite. In 2025, the event expanded to a biannual schedule, with both summer and winter editions bringing even more opportunities to connect, create, and celebrate.
Each NoDa Bizarre brings together the neighborhood’s creative spirit in one lively place, with handmade goods, live art demonstrations, interactive activities, youth vendors, food trucks, and live music filling the day. The event highlights the incredible creativity and diversity of our community while offering a space for connection, discovery, and fun for all ages.
More than just a market, NoDa Bizarre is a platform for local artists and entrepreneurs, a chance for neighbors to come together, and a celebration of the eclectic spirit that makes NoDa unlike anywhere else. From unique handmade finds to immersive community activities and delicious food, the event reflects the neighborhood’s longstanding tradition of supporting the arts and welcoming everyone to be part of it.
