About the event

From our neighbors in Plaza Shamrock: Let your voice be heard at a meeting about the Matheson Avenue Street Conversion with Mayor Pro Tem District 1 Representative Danté Anderson. It takes place at 6:30 Thursday, Aug. 29, at Mattie’s Diner (3100 The Plaza). The current Matheson Avenue Conversion plan starts close to North Davidson Street and crosses The Plaza into Plaza Midwood. This plan eliminates a traffic lane at the intersection of The Plaza and Matheson to make room for a bike lane. PMNA is generally all for bike lanes, but this plan adds a “diverted concept” at Virginia Avenue. This diverted concept forces all cars down neighborhood streets, without sidewalks, rather than to continue straight on Matheson. PMNA feels this plan is extremely dangerous for walkers and cyclists. CDOT has received hundreds of comments from us, is currently reviewing them and deciding how to move forward. In the meantime, we feel it’s important to meet with Representative Anderson to voice our concerns. Please join us and come hungry to buy dinner and support Mattie's Diner.
