What we do

• Monthly NoDa street cleanups - Saturday at 11am but check our event calendar!

• Host annual sustainability events and festivals

• Advocate for tree canopy preservation and growth

• Foster alternative modes of transportation to NoDa

• Work with other local organizations to promote green initiatives in NoDa and in Charlotte 

NoDa Arbor Day Celebration

Join the NoDa NBA and Greenification Committee to celebrate all the wonderful things NoDa’s tree canopy does for our neighborhood! This family friendly festival features a tree seedlings giveaway, local sustainability market, and a feature film to spark the love of trees.

Street Cleanups

On the first Saturday of each month, the Greenification crew hits the streets of downtown NoDa to provide volunteer hours in a neighborhood cleanup. We provide the trash bags, trash pickers, gloves, and fun ambiance. Monthly Greenification meetings happen at Smelly Cat before the street cleanup.  

Garden Walks

Teaming up with the best garden spots in NoDa, we invite community members and friends of NoDa to join us on an annual garden walk through our neighborhood. This event seeks to promote green spaces, native plants, sustainable vegetable beds, iconic neighborhood trees, and pollinator gardens. We partner with local environmental organizations such as TreesCharlotte, The Patio Farmer, and The Bulb to feature their sustainability efforts as well.
