Craft Beer, Fine Food and Prizes, Oh My!
Heist Brewery is making a splash in NoDa during Grand Opening this Friday
CHARLOTTE, NC (October 15, 2012) – Over the past four years, the craft beer scene in Charlotte has exploded, and Heist Brewery, the newest microbrewery in the NoDa neighborhood, is set to make it’s mark by giving away over $1,700 in prizes this Friday.
Multiple lucky winners will receive Heist merchandise, growlers and gift certificates - over $1,700 in give-a-ways for FREE! All of the Queen City is invited to come out for a chance to win these prizes. The brewery is located at 2909 North Davidson Street, Suite 200, in the historic Highland Mill Lofts in the popular arts district just north of Charlotte’s bustling center city.
Heist Brewery will host its official Grand Opening this Friday, October 19 at 6pm with 10% of all proceeds going towards the Charlotte Fire Department. Heist owner Kurt Hogan has partnered with the local NoDa Station #7 fire house before.
“I wanted to find a way to support the community and give back to those hard working men and women,” Hogan said. “We named our red ale after our local department, Station #7 Red. It is really important to keep these services local.”
Friday’s celebrations will feature $3 Light Lager pints and specialty shooters all day, as well as menu samples, outdoor games and live music on the patio from local talent the Josh Carter Band from 7–10 p.m. and The Dread Nots from 10 p.m.–1 a.m. Guests and beer enthusiasts are encouraged to arrive early for the chance to enter to win great prizes throughout the evening.
Owner Hogan has not only started the first locally-owned brewery in the region to feature a full kitchen, he also is employing over 60 people in the immediate community. This much needed boost to NoDa has been great for overall foot traffic to the neighborhood and other local businesses. Heist occupies a 6,700-square-foot space originally built in 1903 and there are several spacious rooms and full parking lot access to accommodate any large group including corporate lunches and company meetings.
Opening everyday at 11:30am for lunch and the dinner menu beginning at 5:30pm, Heist Brewery is the new one stop shop for foodies and craft beer lovers alike.
