founded by John Nourbakhsh and Toby Witte. Realizing their commitment to perpetuate the challenge and richness of artistry,
and their desire to work in an artful space, Dialect is also a contemporary gallery space with a roster of 30+ artists.
For over a year, monthly Dialect Night events have fostered a vibrant and informal gathering of spirited minds for the sole
purpose of discussing the processes, work, and lives of many of Charlotte's creative artists.

Hart Witzen is a privately owned, self sustaining arts venue supported through rental of the gallery and artist studios allowing HW to function as an independent alternative arts space. 18 private studios provide affordable workspace in a creative environment surrounding a 5000 sq. ft. gallery space available for exhibits, events, weddings, receptions, private parties, concerts, film screenings / shootings, etc. Exhibition service includes installation, lighting, and artist reception for a flat fee. There is no commission on sales.

WHAT: David French: Large-scale Charcoal and Other Works
WHERE: The Evening Muse
David French is familiar to many Charlotteans as a painter of the Queen City's beloved landmarks and neighborhoods; his urban landscape "portraits" help capture the essence of Charlotte. He also renders beautiful likenesses of his human subjects as well as creating works that are more challenging to categorize. Featured in this installation will be a large-scale charcoal drawing which has rarely been exhibited due to its size. David's work will be at the Muse from May 31 - June 27, 2013.
