CharMeck's Neighborhood & Business Services presents the 2014 Neighborhood Leadership Awards on September 27th at BB&T Ballpark.
The NLA People’s Choice award recognizes an everyday hero – someone who devotes hours to making their street or neighborhood a better place. This person succeeds in getting neighbors to identify and solve problems together, they know how to get things done and are someone anyone in the city would be proud to call neighbor.
NoDa NBA President, Hollis Nixon, has been nominated.
- NoDa Neighborhood & Business Association President for ten years, she works tirelessly at helping move NoDa forward both as a community and business district.
- She has chaired multiple committees and directed the organization's leadership into a more professional and consistent manner.
- Having gone through tough economic times, the NoDa neighborhood is poised to undergo quite the transformation with so many developments and the light rail construction, Hollis has helped lead the charge on many vital issues facing NoDa.
NoDa's a helpful community! Residents Scott Lindsley and Joey Hewell were also nominated for this award.
